Boulder Cheba Hut location is GREEN in more ways than one!

BOULDER, CO. (May 1, 2008) - Matt Clark-Johnson and Seth Larsen, owners of the Boulder Cheba Hut Toasted Subs shop, were recently named as one of Boulder County’s Business Leaders in the Zero Waste category by Eco-cycle. Eco-Cycle is one of the largest non-profit recyclers in the USA and has an international reputation as a pioneer and innovator in resource conservation. Clark-Johnson and Larsen received recognition for Outstanding Composting and Recycling program. The store has been a Zero Waste restaurant since January 2007 and is seeing amazing results. Customer loyalty and repeat business is up significantly along with sales.

In 2007 alone, the Boulder Cheba Hut has conserved 23,660 gallons of water, 18,262 kilowatts of energy, 47 cubic yards of landfill space, prevented 212 pounds of air pollution, 1,299 cubic feet of methane gas and saved 57 trees!
