Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated September 1, 2026
Cheba Hut does not sell your personal information for money. We are not in the business of selling our guests' personal information for profit.
Like most restaurants and online businesses, however, our website and app use advertising and analytics technologies (such as cookies and pixels from partners like Google and Meta/Facebook) that help us show relevant ads and understand how our digital services are used. Under California and certain other state privacy laws, the use of these technologies is treated as “selling” or “sharing” your personal information for targeted advertising, even when no money changes hands. Because of that broad legal definition, we give you the right to opt out, as explained below.
What “Sale” and “Sharing” Mean
“Sale” means disclosing personal information to a third party in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.
“Sharing” means disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising.
When we transfer information to trusted service providers that help us run our business – such as our online ordering provider and loyalty provider (Thanx), our payment processors, our gift card provider (Valutec), and our merchandise provider (Shopify) – to fulfill your orders, process payments, or provide rewards, that is not a “sale” of your personal information. Those transfers are made under contracts that restrict how your information may be used, as permitted by law.
What Information Is Shared for Advertising
When you use our website or app, our advertising and analytics partners may collect and receive personal information through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including: identifiers (such as device identifiers, IP address, and online identifiers); internet or network activity (such as browsing and interaction data); commercial information (such as products viewed or ordered); approximate geolocation (derived from IP address); and inferences used to build advertising profiles. These partners may include advertising and analytics companies such as Google, Meta/Facebook, TikTok, The Trade Desk, LiveRamp, and others. For more information on the specific cookies, pixels, and similar technologies utilized, visit our Cookie Policy (opens in new tab).
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18 years of age.
You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising. You can do this in any of the following ways:
- Use our opt-out tools. Set your preferences in our Cookie Preference Center (opens in new tab) or submit a data subject access request.
- Use the Global Privacy Control (GPC). We recognize and honor the GPC signal. If you use a browser or extension that supports GPC, we will treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for that browser or device. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
- Manage cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies, including cookies used for interest-based advertising. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. See more at www.allaboutcookies.org.
- Limit mobile advertising IDs. Your mobile device settings may provide functionality to limit use of the advertising ID associated with your mobile device for interest-based advertising purposes.
- Use privacy plug-ins or browsers. You can block our site from setting cookies used for interest-based ads by using a browser with privacy features, like Brave (opens in new tab), or installing browser plugins, like Privacy Badger (opens in new tab), Ghostery (opens in new tab) or uBlock Origin (opens in new tab), and configuring them to block third party cookies/trackers.
- Platform opt-outs. Google and Facebook offer opt-out features that let you opt-out of use of your information for interest-based advertising. We have included the applicable links below to facilitate this election if you choose to do so:
- Use industry opt-out tools. You can also use these opt-out options to limit use of your information for interest-based advertising by participating companies:
Please note: Opt-out preferences set through cookies or GPC are specific to the browser and device you use, so you must opt out on each browser and device. If you clear your cookies, you may need to opt out again.
Loyalty Program
Our Munchie Mob loyalty program lets you earn Coin to redeem toward Rewards in exchange for the personal information you provide. When you create an online ordering account, you are automatically enrolled in Munchie Mob and begin earning Coin on qualifying orders.
You can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising at any time using our Cookie Preference Center (opens in new tab), the Global Privacy Control, and the unsubscribe/STOP options in our emails and texts. Using these options will not affect your account or your Coin, Rewards, or Offers.
If you instead request deletion of your personal information, we will be unable to maintain your account, which will result in the loss of your online account and ordering history, along with all earned Coin, Rewards, and Offers.
In addition to on-site advertising technologies, we may share limited first-party information (such as a hashed email or customer list) with advertising partners so they can serve ads to our guests. When you opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information using any method above, we will suppress you from these lists. Opting out will not affect your account, your ability to place orders, or your Coin, Rewards, and Offers. If you separately request deletion of your personal information, we will be unable to maintain your account, which will result in the loss of your account, order history, and all Coin, Rewards, and Offers.
For more information, see the Notice of Financial Incentive in our Privacy Policy (opens in new tab).
Authorized Agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent's authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly with us.

Depending on your state of residence, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, opt-out and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a denied request. See our Privacy Policy (opens in new tab) or contact us below.
